Farrent Avenue - Noel Park Conservation Area

< Back

We are pleased to announce that we have obtained planning permission for a 3 bed 3 storey house on Farrent Avenue  in Haringey.

Pinchin Architects have been appointed by the London Borough of Haringey to collaborate on an ambitious  programme to deliver 1,000 homes at council rents by 2022. We are proud to be working with a group of specialist  consultants and key stakeholders to help them realise these bold targets. We will analyse and develop designs for 9  sites in their programme, ranging in scale from single houses in the Noel Park Conservation area to a 9 storey multi unit tower in Wood Green.

Farrent Avenue forms part of the Noel Park Conservation Area. Noel Park in North London is a planned community built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries consisting of 2,200 model dwellings, designed by Rowland Plumbe.  The area was developed as the Noel Park Estate on a tract of land on the edge of Wood Green. It was one of four  developments on the outskirts of London built by the Artizans, Labourers & General Dwellings company.

The proposal has been designed to sit comfortably within the streetscape yet allows a clear distinction in relation to the era it has been built. The eaves heights has been retained and a subtle brick soldier course has been used. As seen in the visual we’ve projected brick details below the window openings in a contemporary way allowing some of the visual detailing of the existing properties to be incorporated.

We look forward to seeing the project come to life and if you’re looking to achieve planning we would be delighted to talk further with you about any aspects of your up & coming projects.
